Say It Aint' So, Bert!
A semi-reliable source has claimed that current pool champion Bert Kuehner is contemplating retirement. The shocking news comes just 32 days before the start of the upcoming NFL season. Over the next few days, Bert is expected to mull over his options. Will he ride off into the sunset as champion? Or will the lure of back-to-back championships bring him back for another year? Perhaps Bert will handle this situation like another retirement waffler he once considered among his favourite QBs.
I was going to write something about Favre, but I didn't have the mental energy at the time to think of anything very clever. In today's MMQB, Peter King writes, "Brett Favre is being slightly tempted about playing football again." Perhaps FPB (Football Pool Blog) should send someone to Chipman to gauge Bert's level of temptation for a return.
