Note : Like every year I have 5 new teams making playoffs - the norm is 5 teams.

I have a reason for every team that drops and every team that sneaks in...this will go down as the Matt Stafford year - add him to the list of elite guys.

Yes, I said it first....

Patrick, are you sure you want to predict this much happiness for Joel?

Our outlook on the AFC is almost identical. However, the NFC is a different story. Some people think Seattle will surprise.

The AFC really isn't that good...Pittsburgh makes the playoffs just barely because it's their good year. The schedule for NE is too easy and Ravens are in their swan song before some key players leave.

The NFC is much better, but the 49ers will find out how much tougher it will be to beat good teams since they play all of them and that Superbowl won't even be close.

Seattle, Jacksonville, Rams all about the same - very good defenses but they can only beat you if 2 planets align: the planet of playing at home, and the planet of breaking a big run or something and kicking field goals.

Buffalo is better - Green Bay not as good - Chicago and Philly will injure out their year. Cowboys finally win a playoff game and Giants lose a playoff game because it's at home.

Watch Carolina - talk of the NFC besides Detroit.
